Assisted Living Testimonials
Dear Irina,
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. When Judie Levine said that Irina of Palm House was “The best group care home”, she was correct. When I met you on may 31, 2005 you were an answer to a prayer. I wanted my Mother to have the best care possible as she made her transition. The past 12 days have not been easy, but true to your word you saw her on with such compassion. I thank you, I admire you, and I love you for what you have done for us! I call you a special friend. My prayers now are for you to have another child. You are a wonderful Mother. When someone does something for someone, they are repaid somehow, somewhere ten fold.
Blessings and love,

Dear Irina,
Both Susan and I would like to thank you and compliment you on the excellent care given my Mother, Alma, at Palm House for the past four to five years. With her diminished memory capacity, the safety provided and care given her by you and your staff was especially important to us and always found to be excellent.
As you are aware, Alma was a person who had to keep busy even though her abilities and attention span were limited. The frequent activities, occasional outings, fingernail painting sessions, and weekly musical sing-a-longs established a more diverse and welcome daily routine than might be found at less caring establishments. Interaction between the residents always seemed to be caring. Your’s staff attention to details like birthdays parties and holidays establishes a much-appreciated sense of family for everyone in your care. We know that Alma felt loved as a part of that family.
We were always pleased that Palm House maintained as one might expect their own home to be, extremely clean with no unwelcome odors. Again, the staff’s attention to that the quality of the food provided enhanced that, adding to her general health. We are forever grateful that when we were not available, you stepped in to take her to the doctor and get medication. You recognized when hospital treatment was needed and made sure she was promptly cared for. Both you and your staff were always willing to take the extra step when necessary.
My Mother was in three other care facilities before we settled on yours and none of them came close to giving her the attention and affection that yours did. We greatly appreciated your supplying her a stable environment in her declining years and firmly believe that your care not only extended her life but also improved the quality immensely.
Thank you so much.
If at any time you need a personal reference please feel free to call upon us.
Sincerely,
Bob & Susan Marley

Dear Irina
I want you to know how grateful I am that there was a space available at the Palm House when my mom needed it. It was indeed an answer to my prayer . During the year that mom lived there. I knew she was in a safe environment, being well cared for, and was being treated with respect. I also appreciated the fact that mom was provided with assisted when she needed it, and she was encouraged to do the things that she could for herself.
You have done a very nice job of providing a comfortable, home-like atmosphere and hiring caring and competent caregivers. I would be very comfortable recommending the Palm House to anyone I know who has a need for an assisted living placement for a loved one.
Thank you for all the tender loving care that mom received while she was there.
Sincerely,
Pat Morgan

From a Resident’s Daughter
It was party time at Palm House, owned by Irina Buzea. Popcorn was popped and beverages had been served as the music began. Angels Marlene and Virgil Cole, known as “The Honey Dews”, started their toe tapping harmonica, guitar and singing of the old favorites. Mom hasn’t known me for years and most of the time is just a figure in her wheelchair. She became very animated when the music started and she said they mast practice all the time. Towards to the end of the program she asked in a rather loud voice if she had to pay to get in. Then she wanted to know how they made any money...
A request was made for six gospel songs.
My late dad’s favorite hymn was “In the Garden”. We sang it today and I shed a tear. Audrey’s Angels touched many hearts today and mine too.

Wanted to let you know that my Mother was WELL taken care of while in the care of Irina and caregivers at Amber Hills and Palm House. She had great meals, exercise,
a reading library was available and a lot of interaction between the people at the home.
